Friends, Planes, & Boats

I'm not sure which was worse... last weeks fussing baby or this weeks sick Daddy.  It seems to me that in the last 6 months Baby Daddy has been sick at least 3 times and Baby Ella hasn't been sick once (knock on wood).  Maybe we should start sneaking some of Mommy's super milk into Daddy's morning coffee.  Anyway, we sent daddy to the doctor just to be safe (you know how Mommy is about those germs).  Just a virus...ibuprofen for the fever, push the fluids, and stay away from the baby until 24 hours after the fever is gone.  So we left Daddy sleep a little extra until the weekend got here and then we had enough.  We drugged him up and off we went.  Off to the neighbors (OK, not really neighbors but close enough) to say hello to their new exchange student, Maia.  She is so nice.  I hope we get to spend lots of time with her this year!

After 4 solid hours of excitement without a nap, Miss Ella passed out after 30 seconds in the car.

We went to see a BIG ship on Sunday downtown at the Waterfront.  Unfortunately, we didn't get to actually get on the ship because Mommy was taking care of the babes solo as Daddy still wasn't allowed to touch her (or breath the same air as her).

Then we drove up to the Wheeling-Ohio airport to see a B-17 that was in WWII.  Mommy was in a good mood so we left Daddy take a walk though the nifty plane.  We even stuck around long enough to watch it take off.  For $425, you could fly in the back of the plane AND for $600 you could have front row seats.  We considered taking the babes for her first plane ride but decided college was probably a better option!

Ella was so excited about the plane we could hardly contain her...
