Roll

Roll, baby, roll!!

Zoo Playground

Ella (& Mommy) love the playground at the local zoo and since the playground at the park was getting a spruce up, we decided to make use of that zoo pass before it gets too cold!

la la la Elmo's World

Lately everything has been about Elmo, Cookie, Ernie & Super Grover.  The girl can't get enough!  So Mommy has been letting her indulge in Sesame Street...there could be worse things right?

Feverish Baby

Our poor girl had her first round with a fever.  The babes laid around for 3 full days in her PJ's watching episode after episode of Elmo.

Let's go to the Fair!

Ella enjoyed her first trip to the fair so much that we decided to take her again.  Daddy got us the hook up with his coworker Duane and we got up close to lots of animals.  Ella loved the goats but I think she may have found herself a little boyfriend!  He was a little old for Mommy's approval though!!

Labor Day Weekend

It was a hot weekend. It was a rainy weekend. All typical for Labor Day. We tried to head to the Oglebay Good Zoo on Saturday but Grandma and Mommy were so hot we zipped through as fast as we could dripping sweat all the way. They really should make these zoos flat for those of us pushing a stroller! We got back to the house to find Daddy and pappy sweating away sinking posts for our soon to be built shed.

Sunday we risked the sprinkles and headed down to the waterfront for the annual Vintage Race Boat Regatta. We took Ella last year but she was just rolling around then. How things have changed! They have huge cranes that lift the race boats into the water. Ella was really into the "flying boats."

Of course at this age we lose interest pretty fast.  So Daddy took her for a walk closer to the racing boats and the Mommy took her to browse all the vendors.  On our walk we found nice display of fish in the Ohio River and a cute little boat for Ella to drive.

We are making a bad tradition of spending Labor Day at a RAINY Pittsburgh Zoo.  The munchkin doesn't really seem to mind the rain and because it was so cool the few animals we saw, as we zipped to the aquarium, were quite playful.  The tigers were chasing each other and rolling in the grass.  Even the polar bear was up for some good old fun!

Daddy and Ella go to the Zoo (with Grandma and Pappy)

Believe it or not, Daddy and Ella went on their first trip (that wasn't to a store) without Mommy.

We went to the Pittsburgh zoo!!!!  Grandma and Pappy were in the 'burgh already seeing a show, so they met us at the zoo.

The leopard was on the prowl when we got there!

The Good zoo at Oglebay has a stone turtle and the Pittsburgh zoo has a bronze leopard.  Both entertaining!

Staring at and doing laps around the sea dragons.

'ISH!!!!

Ella's favorite seat in the aquarium.  "Pappy, sit down!  Grandma, sit down!"

Big girl

Ella rides like a big girl in the car now!!

The whole way down the road, Ella announced every car that went by "car, car fast." Mommy & Daddy are still getting use to her beautiful face looking back at us in the rearview mirror.

Ella's Funniest Videos

Lots and lots of videos that go with all the summer blogs!

Daddy taught Ella to blow her very own bubbles...

Apparently, Ella got thirsty during the play date and decided to take matters into her own hands...

It's never boring with Ella around!

Does this make us bad parents??

Summer Round-up- August Part 2

So we went with the play group to the zoo.  We decided to just let the kids play at the playground for once, we usually zip right by there so the kiddos don't get distracted!

We met up with Zavier's Aunt Kate while we were at the zoo and she showed us some special animals up close!

Of course Ella's favorite turtle is right outside the barn so we had to make a stop.  She had all the kids convinced the turtle was pretty awesome.  And they all took their turn giving the poor turtle hugs and kisses.

Then it was off to the Children's Museum.  The kids had a blast.  They played in the garage and workshop, ripped and glued paper, played with playdough and painted.

Then it was off to their favorite part of the day...the water tables!

The whole group, minus me because I'm taking the picture, waiting for the elevator to pick us up.  We only waited 45 minutes.  Good things the kids were distracted with snacks and napping!

Sometimes when Ella is extra good and Mom is feeling extra nice, Ella gets some pretty awesome snacks...like this wild berry popsicle made by Mom, of course!

Then it was off to the Washington County Fair.  This is one BIG fair.  There were cows, goats, pigs, horses and a petting zoo.  Not to mention all the rides that cost a fortune to ride (good thing we already knew our little munchkin isn't a fan of amusement park rides!)
It was impossible to get a decent picture of the girl!  She just kept running back and forth pointing to the cows.
 "Ella pat pat goat"
Watching the pigs go to the auction
 Petting her first camel!

Riding the Washington Trolley

We finally had some "cooler" weather and ate our first dinner out on the deck.  Wondering what we had...corn on the cob of course!

Yes, she ate 2 ears plus some potatoes and some pork.

We ended August with a play date with our friends at the park.

And there you have it...our outings as of the end of August!  A bunch of videos to come and I promise I'll keep things up to date in September!!
