Santa train

While we were in Pa for thanksgiving we had a special day for the kids.  What better way to start off the Christmas season than a ride on the Santa train.  Ella was super excited and spent a lot of time writing her letter for Santa.

Can you read it?  Ella was very specific about what she wanted it to say....
And then it was time to bundle up and Ella wasn't so excited to go anymore.  Poor Girl.  Since we're good parents, we made her go anyway.

(see her letter, stamps & all)
She was OK singing carols until Santa arrived...

Caleb on the other hand thought Santa was great!

She may not have been a Santa fan but he sure does give out some yummy gift bags!

A few days later, Ella got a special letter in the mail from Santa and boy was she excited!

Thanksgiving

We headed to PA for a nice warm Thanksgiving day.  Ella & Lizzie had a blast playing outside.

(Guess which one of us is NOT pregnant???)

Caleb & Ella got to spend some extra time together at Mimi's before we headed home.  Once they were tired of playing they crashed, for a few minutes, on the couch watching the Grinch with Mimi.

Big Girl Weekend: Circus, Museum & Elmo!!

We took our big vacation in June...you remember, we went to Baltimore right after Mommy & Daddy found out our family would be growing.  And Mommy was sick the whole time. So we thought maybe we'd try again since we are about to turn our kiddos world upside down.  What better way to celebrate getting to be a big sister than a trip to the circus, a night in a hotel, a day at the Children's museum, and a day at Sesame Street Live!

Hey, that's an elephant!  That's how Ella knew it was a "real" circus...

It was the "greatest show on earth!"

"That sure is a lot of tigers."

Waiting for Elmo is our Sesame Street gear

Halloween

After months and months of asking Ella what she wanted to be for Halloween and getting the same "I wanna be a girl!" reply, we finally convinced her that maybe just maybe she might get more candy if she dressed up as something besides a girl.  A bee it was!  And I must say, she was the cutest bee I've ever seen!

We headed off to the neighbors for a small Halloween party first.  It was a beautiful fall day and the kids had a great time playing in the leaves outside!

Halloween came and so did the cold & rain...but that wasn't going to stop our bee from getting some candy!
