Gifts from a far

Mimi, Great Grandma Sharon, and Great Pappy Boyd came for a last minute overnight visit.  Along with them, they brought a cute little "ladybug" bear from Ella's great Aunt Millie who lives all the way in Texas!  Ella and Mimi played with her new toy.  Thank you Aunt Millie!

In the mail this week, Ella received a package all the way from Cancun, Mexico.  OK it really was mailed from Duncansville, PA but it really was bought in Cancun!  Ella's Great Aunt Lorie picked her up the cutest little onesie while she was vacationing with the dolphins!  It says "you are my sunshine" and has little ruffles on the butt! So cute! Who doesn't love a butt ruffle!  (Sorry no picture yet.  It needs washed and it's still a little cold.)  Thank you Aunt Lorie.  I promise to get you a picture soon!

We miss and love you both!!

All night long

It has been an exciting 2 days in the Green household.  Ella has finally slept all night!! Seriously, at 6 am you would have thought Bruce just walked through our backdoor.  (For those of you that don't know, Mommy is a Bruce Springsteen lover.  I mean is there anyone that can rock a vest besides the Boss.  Maybe I am just envious that his nickname is "The Boss." Anyway, back to baby events...) Sunday night, I fed Ella from 9:30 pm until 10:30 pm and put her to bed.  At 6 am, I was awoken to the horrible sound of Russell's alarm clock.  I sat up in bed and blurted out "Did you feed the baby?" I got a groggy "No" reply.  I can hear tiny coo-ing playful noises on the baby monitor.  I practically ran to the nursery and there was Miss Ella laying in her crib smiling at me.  What a wonderful feeling.  After a quick diaper change and a quick breast milk snack, she went back to sleep until 8:30 am!!  Last night, same story.  Although this morning I woke up to happy baby noises and not the horrible alarm!  Last night, I even put her to bed half awake!  Unfortunately, I don't have any cute "sleeping baby"  pictures from the crib (bedtime is about the only time we don't have the camera 5 inches from her face!).  I do have a picture of the face she makes when we are staring down at her in the crib in the morning....Makes me smile every morning!

What's up with Ella...

So Mommy & Daddy spent the weekend spring cleaning.  That's right both of us clean (you didn't really think that I would let Russell live in the house and not help clean it did you??)  As you can see, Ella didn't find spring cleaning very entertaining!

The little munchkin did eventually decide to entertain us.  She has learned all kind of new things for us to video!  She must know how much Mommy & Daddy love the little black box with the flashing light!  She is a little ham when it comes to the camera.  We can only catch half of her cuteness on video.  She seems to get a little shy once we bring the camera out.  She must get shyness as a trait from her Daddy because we all know Mommy isn't shy about anything!

Look closely, she has learned to pull the binky out of her mouth and wave it around.  Today, she actually threw it at me (I hope by accident otherwise she is in trouble!).

Those pictures were taken shortly before she decided to poo all over her cute outfit, the bouncy seat, and on Mommy's shirt.  (I have vowed to never wear this outfit again because it's the same story everytime she wears it!)

Ella still loves her musical light up toys.  Sometimes she tries to "sing along" with them.  I hope she got Daddy's vocal skills and not Mommy's!

Before she was even born, Mommy & Daddy were buying her all kinds of goodies at a baby sale.  Daddy just had to have this taggie elephant.  Turns out, she loves it.  Maybe that's just because it is the only toy Daddy offers her when Mom isn't looking!

I know you have already seen how pretty Ella looks on her activity mat, but now there will be no cute pictures as she now kicks and swings her arms at all the dangling toys!

The cuteness doesn't seem to end around here!

2 month check-up

Miss Ella had her 2 month check-up today.  All is well.  She is 10.5 pounds & 23.5 inches.  Tall and thin.  Two shots and they faked her out and her third vaccine as a liquid.  Oh how she loved the sweet wonderful liquid!  I think they will let us come back even after Mommy called the doctor by the wrong name.  Don't worry I wasn't the only bad parent that showed up for Ella's appointment...Daddy came and forgot the diaper bag.  Oh well.
Mommy was going to get real doctors office photos today, but once again someone (read as not Mommy) forgot to bring the diaper bag.  Any way, we got a peanuts band aid this time.

A week away

The babes and I spent last week at Mimi & Pappy Bill's house.  Daddy had to leave us for the week to go to training.  Fortunately, it was an uneventful drive and Ella slept the entire way.  I was ever so grateful of her cooperation!  We had a busy week running around, planning Aunt Jenn's baby shower, and visiting.  We managed to go out to dinner once for Aunt Jenn's 23rd birthday...man, she is getting old!!  I even got  brave and left Ella with Aunt Jenn & Uncle Aaron for an hour!  When Mimi & I arrived back at the Makowiecki residence, Uncle Aaron was sitting on the floor with Ella asleep in his lap and Aunt Jenn hovering from the end of the couch...so adorable but Mommy was in a rush to find food so getting a picture of the adorableness was the last thing on my mind. We squeezed in a few visits with Grandma Susie & Pappy Rodney but, unfortunately, they have to go to this horrible place called work and only get to see Ella in the evening when she debuts as "Miss Cranky Pants."

As for Daddy's week...it wasn't so fantastic!  After a long day at work and driving to his training, Daddy's computer died which means no webcam for Daddy to see his little girl.  (of course, not seeing his wonderful wife was of no concern to him!)  He kept holding out for the resurrection of his laptop but the days came and went with no luck.  Friday couldn't get here soon enough!  Just when Friday was so close Daddy could almost taste it, he ended up with a nasty stomach bug.  (I guess that's what you get for leaving your daughter for a week, having expensive dinners, and getting an entire nights sleep.  I think I'll pass and get up at 3 am every night!)

Due to the hectic week, Mommy barely got in any pictures but here is what I managed to capture.

This was just before we left.  Oh so cute and just like her Mommy!!

Ella met her Great Great Aunt Belva while we were home.

Ella's "bear" butt (haha, Mommy is so funny!)
"I'm so cute!"

This is Ella's favorite new way to be held, until next week that is...

"Look at me, I can hold my head up all by myself!"  She is still perfecting this new trick but is already quite good at it!
Our sleeping Angel

Where's Ella? There she is!

Mommy has been dying to get a pictures of her little munchkin in the flowers at Oglebay.  Unfortunately, we missed the daffodils but managed to catch the tulips!  Daddy wasn't so thrilled about all of this.  Apparently, Ella wasn't either as she was not as cooperative as the other children having pictures taken!  Ok, ok, the other kids might have been about 10 years old...but 2 months 10 years same difference right?

Roll over, Beethoven...

OK, she didn't really roll over but she got pretty darn close!!!  I considered removing her arm...and then I thought "hmmm, I could go to jail for that!"  Then I considered taping her arm out of the way but I figured that would just be cruel!  So, here is Ellas attempt at not quite rolling over.
