Then we headed off to the wonderful world of the Inner Harbor. Our first stop, a nice relaxing boat ride.
It was an interesting week in a hotel room with a toddler... especially when the girl won't sleep if she can see her totally awesome parents. A 4am wake up the first night was quite a pleasure. We tried having a special sleepover in bed with Mom & Dad but after getting kicked for more than an hour Mom headed to the couch. Twenty minutes later, I heard snoring...
Sigh. After our free hotel breakfast, we headed off for our first adventure...the National Aquarium. Ella wanted to see the sea turtle, Mom wanted to see the Dolphins, Dad just wanted Mom to not get sick at the aquarium. Wishes granted.
...Who needs sharks when you have scuba cleaners...
Fortunately, the early wakings subsided quickly. Although, we do have a night walker on our hands... I woke up one morning with a bunch of stuffed animals on my night stand, another morning where I almost stepped on my glasses and a bottle of water, and woke up at 4am to someone rubbing my arm while sucking her fingers. I didn't dare to move and after about 30 seconds she turned and got back in her little bed.
The second day we headed to the Port Discovery Kids Museum in the rain and by rain I mean walking 4 city blocks in a river.
It was raining inside too!
Fortunately the rainy weather didn't last long and we headed to the Zoo.
And last but not least we headed to the Science Center, which was probably Ella's favorite. I've never seen a girl so excited about dinosaurs!
