Easter In PA (part 1)

A quick change in Daddy's work plans sent Mommy into a packing frenzy so we could head to PA a day and a half before our scheduled trip.  It was totally worth it.  Mimi & Ella spent some time reading every kids book in Mimi's house.

Then they pretended to sleep so Pappy Bill could wake them up.

Then for the highlight of the weekend, we headed outside to a surprised furry friend.

Do you see him.  He's a "baby mouse" as Ella called him.  A baby mouse that almost made Mimi  have a heart attack.  Ella watched the little guy for at least an hour.  He just went round and round and left Ella get closer than Mommy was comfortable with.  He even ran over her toes and through her legs which she thought was just fabulous! Unfortunately, we forced Ella to let her furry friend go back to his business so we could head out for dinner.

(disclaimer: this video is long but she is so cute "feeding" the mouse!)

Saturday we headed out to an egg hunt with the all grandparents and Aunt Jenn, Uncle Aaron & Caleb.  They had popcorn, a petting zoo, miniature pony rides and a bounce house.  Good thing we had other distractions for the kids because they didn't get any eggs.

Petting the calf...even though Daddy told her it was a goat...

 Do you see any eggs?

 How about now?
 Nope we didn't either...
