Everybody's Working on the Weekend

Well, the day has come and gone.  Mom went back to work.

Sort of.  The Washington Hospital called Amber several weeks ago and asked if she was interested in working two weekends a month per-diem.  After long debate, Amber decided that I could handle the domestic duties four days a month.  Or I can at least pretend like I can handle them.

Saturday morning, before the crack of dawn, Amber departed on her half hour drive back to the place she left over nine months ago.  About 2.5 hours later, Ella decided she'd get up for the day, aka, wake daddy up for some freezer milk.  After being successfully milked and Cheerio'd, the two of us and the cats set off on our first solo flight.

After 8 hours of work, Mom came home, and all three of us were happy to see each other.  Wash, rinse and repeat on Sunday.

All in all it was a good weekend.  I even did all the laundry and dishes and cleaned up the back porch a little bit.  We even did a little shopping for Mom.  Ella will probably be glad things are back to normal in her universe tomorrow when Dad goes to work all day.

Until next time (which is the first week of December, better get ready Ella!)
